Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry added another milestone to his legendary career by surpassing former teammate and NBA icon Kevin Durant on the league’s all-time playoff wins leaderboard. Curry also moved past Kevin Johnson (935) to claim 19th place on the all-time playoff assists list, edging closer to Hall of Famer Bob Cousy, who stands next with 937 assists.
Stephen Curry has a new achievement to his nameThe NBA celebrated Stephen Curry’s achievement with a special post on its official social media handle, writing: “Congrats to @StephenCurry30 of the @warriors for moving into 19th on the all-time playoff ASSISTS list! #NBAPlayoffs presented by Google.”
Curry reached the milestone during Game 4 of the Warriors’ first-round playoff series, where they secured a narrow 109–106 win over the Houston Rockets at home. With the win over the Rockets, the Warriors now have a 3-1 lead in the series.
The two-time MVP delivered a solid performance, finishing with 17 points, three rebounds, three assists, and one steal in 39 minutes. He shot 6-of-13 from the field and 2-of-8 from beyond the arc.
After the win, Curry expressed his frustration that he was called for a technical foul. “That was so stupid because he had did it literally the play before, and I just returned the favor. But they didn't see him. They saw me. It's like siblings — the second ones will get in trouble,” Curry said in his postgame presser, via 95.7 The Game on X (formerly on Twitter).
