PCB facilitates safe return of 23 Indian nationals involved in Pakistan Super League

The Pakistan Cricket Board ( PCB ) on Sunday ensured the safe return of 23 Indian nationals who were part of the production and broadcast team for the Pakistan Super League (PSL). This action came after heightened diplomatic and border tensions between the two countries, which followed the tragic Pahalgam terror attack .

On April 22, terrorists carried out a heinous attack in Pahalgam, killing 26 innocent tourists, which led to an escalation of tensions. In response, the Pakistan government issued an order for all Indian nationals in the country to depart by April 30.


Who's that IPL player?

A PCB official confirmed to PTI that the 23 Indian nationals, including cameramen and technicians involved in the PSL broadcasts, were sent back to India via the Wagah border from Lahore .

The Indian crew had been hired by the company responsible for producing and broadcasting PSL matches. To ensure the quality of the broadcasts was not compromised, the company swiftly arranged for foreign and local cameramen and technicians to replace the Indian staff.
