How to catch Abra during Spotlight Hour?
Before the clock starts to tick, clear the Pokémon storage. As Abra is notorious for fleeing, your speed will be key. Stock up on the Razz Berries, Golden Razz Berries, and Ultra Balls to increase the chances of the catch. Make sure to stick to the areas with the dense PokéStop clusters or the parks and malls for constant spawns. You can even activate the Incense to attract some extra Abra.
Do not waste your time appraising the catches mid-event. Use the Quick Catch trick— hold the Poké Ball menu and then throw. It will help you to skip the animations and immediately target the spawn.
