Henry thanks Caleb Williams in a sweet letter for helping him feel strong

In June 2025, little Henry sent a letter through the mail to Caleb Williams, the No 1 draft pick for the Chicago Bears. Henry wrote the letter by hand. In it, he thanked Caleb Williams for showing him it’s okay to be different.

Henry said, “I paint my nails now because of you. My dad does it with me. Sometimes kids say mean things, but I stand up for myself now.” He also said Caleb Williams gave him the courage to be proud of who he is.

At the end of the letter, Henry drew a football and a heart. He said, “Thank you for being brave.” His family shared the letter on X (Twitter). The post became popular very quickly. Many people said Henry’s words were beautiful and brave.

Caleb Williams inspires kids by being himself on & off the field

Caleb Williams has become known for more than being an unbelievable talent at playing football. He is known to paint his fingernails bright colors on a regular basis, and occasionally with words, fashioned as “Fight” and “Love.” He did this even when he played for USC, and now continues it with the Chicago Bears.

In past interviews, Caleb Williams said, “Painting my nails is just me showing love and staying true to myself.”

Now, young fans like Henry are feeling brave too. Caleb Williams' small actions are helping kids stand up for themselves—and feel proud of who they are.
