Cloud cover, rain likely today

Kanpur: As weather experts predicted, the city witnessed cloud cover in the morning but the day was dry and sunny on Tuesday.

According to the weather forecast received from Kanpur and India Meteorological Department (IMD), due to light to moderate cloud cover in the next 24 hours, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain locally along with strong winds, thunderstorms and dust storms on May 7 also.

The maximum temperature rose to 35.4 degree celsius which is 4.2 degree less than normal temperature of day while minimum temperature was recorded as 22.4 which was 0.9 degree less than normal, Pandey briefed. He said relative humidity maximum was recorded as 71 percent while minimum was 34 percent. North-East wind velocity was recorded as 8.7 km per hour.
