Udaipur: Resident doctors here continued their strike for the third consecutive day Saturday. They are protesting the death of a 35-year-old doctor due to alleged electrocution in the RNT Medical Hostel Wednesday. Medical services remained disrupted due to the strike in M B Hospital.
Post-mortem was carried out Thursday evening, but the relatives did not take the body, suspecting foul play in his death. On the demand of Udaipur Resident Doctors' Association, post-mortem was conducted again Saturday by a team of doctors from SMS Hospital, Jaipur.
The Udaipur Resident Doctors' Association issued a press note and accused the RNT Medical College administration, stating that the college administration is exerting pressure on the team to prepare a report like the previous post-mortem report. The association in its statement said that in such a situation, the protest will continue until the guilty are suspended. tnn
