Prayagraj: Senior professor Dr RB Kamal was appointed the new chief superintendent of the Swaroop Rani Nehru (SRN) Hospital.
He has previously served as principals of GSVM Medical College, Kanpur, and Government Medical College, Mirzapur.
In addition, Dr Kamal also held several important administrative positions at Motilal Nehru Medical College, Prayagraj, and also served as the superintendent of Swaroop Rani Nehru Hospital.
His appointment comes at a time when several expansion projects are in progress to improve medical facilities at SRN. The projects include the integrated diagnostic centre, new emergency block, and Advanced Children's Hospital. Under the leadership of Dr Kamal, further improvement is expected in the quality of medical services, administrative efficiency, and patientcare system of the hospital.
The health department and the local administration have expressed hope that his working style and experience will take the hospital to new heights.
The principal and medical teachers of Motilal Nehru Medical College have congratulated Dr Kamal on his new responsibility. tnn
