Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean are performing their final ever show this weekend after a half-century skating together. Torvill and Dean: Our Last Dance is taking place in Nottingham before the couple retire for good, with the Dancing on Ice judges celebrating their iconic career. However, despite their close partnership over the years, the pair have had their disagreements over the years.
Their worst ever argument left ITV star Jayne "in tears", with the star admitting they have "had their moments". Speaking to The Mirror in 2018, she admitted: "We've had our moments. Not recently, though. Once there was a documentary being made about us and the director said, 'There's no drama in this, you're just too nice'. Too boring. We just trained, left, came back the next day and trained again."
Christopher added that they finally did have a row, with Jayne telling the publication: "I can't remember what it was about, but I know I went off in tears." Christopher said: "The F-word was said. And after that I was the baddie."
The pair recalled being told by their trainer not to waste time on disagreements, because "while you're arguing, someone else is practising." And Chris acknowledged that any arguments "wouldn't affect the training", and they'd always force themselves to finish a session together.
Torvill admitted that while there were "moments of exasperation", she got "more frustrated" with herself than with her skating partner.
Chris also admitted to RadioTimes: "Jayne can deal with just about anything. I'm a bit more passionate and have - well, used to have - this aggression and determination. I've definitely become more mellow."
He said: "We've fallen out loads of times, but not to the extent that we've ever stopped talking. It was always about little things, but we'd never leave the ice having an argument.
