Remove tough grease from extractor fans in 11 minutes with 1 natural item cleaner loves

A cooker hood filter is installed above the cooker stove, and its purpose is to capture smoke, grease and debris produced during cooking and to extract it into the filtration system. If a hood filter is not in place, the grease and food particles found in smoke would build up in air ducts and could potentially become a fire hazard.

If the hood filter is not cleaned, it will eventually become blocked, which could affect your quality of life at home. While extractor fan filters can be cleaned naturally with baking soda or with soda crystals, there is a way to clean them with just water. Taking to her Instagram page @jottiesjournal, where she shares regular cleaning tips and tricks, Jo demonstrated just how well steam cleaning works on greasy cooker hood filters.

She captioned the video: "The quickest and easiest way to clean your cooker hood filters in 15 minutes max. A steamer loosens and removes any grease and grime instantly."

The grease on the filters appeared to be melting off as soon as Jo went over it lightly with a scrubbing attachment on her steam cleaner.

To remove the tarnish stains on the board of the filters, Jo went in with the Pink Stuff Paste; however, this is not an essential step.

Jo made a note of how long it took her to clean the mesh filters with her steam cleaner, and it was only 11 minutes.
