A British tourist has been arrested after a woman reported she was raped in an abandoned building on a popular Greek island. The 25-year-old Brit, who has not been named, is accused of raping a 24-year-old Norwegian tourist in Rhodes in the early hours of last Thursday, local media reports.
The man is accused of luring the woman away from a crowded area of Rhodes city and raping her. Local media reports the Norwegian woman had gone out for drinks with her sister at around 11.30pm on last Wednesday and met a group of men at a bar. It is claimed a man later led her away from the busy nightlife area under the pretext of wanting to have a private conversation.

The man allegedly took the woman to a nearby abandoned building where he raped her.
She escaped when she heard movement outside, running to the beach and then to her hotel to ask for help, according to local outlet Skai News.
She said the alleged perpetrator wore an earring, reports say.
According to Skai News, the woman, who was on holiday in Rhodes with her family, handed over some of the clothes she was wearing during the alleged attack to investigators for forensic lab testing.
The 25-year-old British national was arrested by officers from the Rhodes Crime Investigation and Prosecution Sub-Directorate.
Investigators are looking into CCTV recordings in the area around where the alleged assault occurred.
They are also said to be reviewing communications of the persons involved in the investigation around the time of the alleged incident.
