Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi is slated to perform the groundbreaking ceremony for 27 major industrial projects in the state on Monday.
As per official sources, the groundbreaking ceremony is set to be performed at a special event at Krushi Sikhsha Sadan, OUAT, in the capital city.
The new industrial projects will come up in 12 districts of the state including Jharsuguda, Ganjam, Khurda, Koraput, Angul, Sundargarh, Bhadrak, Puri, Cuttack and Sambalpur, according to Industries Minister Sampad Chandra Swain.
The new projects, to be set up with total investment of Rs 25,379.34 crore, are expected to create a total of 51,826 job opportunities in the state, he said.
Highlighting the significance of the event, the Minister said Odisha is ready to enter a new era of industrial growth as these projects mark a major step towards inclusive growth and economic transformation in the state.
While giving considerable boost to the economy, the new projects would play a significant role in providing ample opportunities for employment.
It may be noted that the state government has been aggressively positioning the state as a major destination for investment. The state received 593 investment intents worth over Rs 16.73 lakh crore during the Utkarsh Odisha: Make in Odisha Conclave-2025, held in January this year.
