A sensational incident has occurred in Faridabad, Haryana, where a 19-year-old student returning from the library in Ballabhgarh was shot by a deranged 19-year-old boy. A horrifying video of the shooting of the girl in Ballabhgarh's Shyam Colony on Monday evening surfaced. The girl was returning home from coaching class when the boy was waiting for her. Police say the boy approached her, opened fire, and then fled. He fired two rounds, leaving the shocked girl defending herself. The girl has been admitted to the hospital and is undergoing treatment.

Police have identified the accused as Jatin Mangal. Initial investigations have revealed that the accused knew the girl before and may have taken this horrific step due to an unrequited crush. Police have registered a case.

In a video of the incident, it can be seen that the young woman was accompanied by her friends, but she was walking slightly ahead of them. The young woman is said to be around 17 years old and is a 12th-grade student at a private school. She used to take this route daily to the library on Sau Foot Road to study.
