Sky customers are reporting a major outage and say they have not been able to watch television from around 10pm this evening.
People around the country are saying they have no signal with one person on X (formerly ), writing: "Loads reporting boxes randomly turning themselves off and unable to turn on again without power cycling first." More than 30,000 people have reported problems with Sky on the website Downdetector. Users say they have no signal on their and are having to shut down their Sky Q boxes, while others are having issues with their . One customer wrote: "Mine [Sky box] says 'you can’t watch TV at the moment due to connectivity problem'.
"But my internet is fine and the box is connected. Has to be [a problem] at Sky's end." Another had the same issue, writing: "Mines completely gone off, can’t get on the app. Can’t do nothing."

There have been many people complaining on social media. One person wrote: "What's going on with Sky TV ? It's crashed twice. Seems others are reporting the same."
Another asked: "What is going on once again? Sky keeps crashing. Internet on and off. Always on a Thursday when darts is on as well.' They added: 'Sort it out."
One Sky user said it was total blackout on her television as she was greeted with the message "please wait while we load your programme" before it shut down.
The outage seemed to begin some time after 9pm this evening with a spike up to 30,000 an hour later. Reports did then subside to below 20,000 but they have since risen up and they currently stand at 30,312.
The problems appear to be widespread around the UK with London, Manchester, Cardiff and Glasgow the main cities affected. Around 87% of reports are for problems with Sky television, while 8% say they are facing a total blackout and 5% are having problems with the internet.
Despite the widespread reports of issues, a notice on the Sky website says there are "no known issues" affecting the TV service.
