When Brooklyn Beckham reached the age of 15, he took up a job as a barista in a Kensington coffee shop, earning a humble £2.68 per hour. This was part of a strategy by his parents, David and Victoria, to instil in their children the importance of money.
When Brooklyn decided to pursue bigger dreams, his younger brother Romeo was next in line for the job, much to the satisfaction of Posh and Becks who take pride in being self-made millionaires. Moreover, when the Grenfell disaster struck in 2017 – less than a mile from the Beckhams' £25 million Holland Park mansion – Victoria sent the brothers to assist with the relief effort.
However, the upbringing of Brooklyn's wife Nicola Peltz couldn't have been more different. As the youngest daughter of US billionaire businessman Nelson Peltz, Nicola got whatever she desired, according to sources.

Insiders close to the family say he 'threw money at anything and everything' including the two Los Angeles homes where Nicola and Brooklyn have resided together since they started dating in 2019.
This week it emerged that they had moved into a new £11 million five-bedroom home in Beverly Hills – near to where Brooklyn lived with his parents when they moved to California in 2007 after David signed for LA Galaxy football club. Prior to this, the young couple lived in a £7.7million mansion, complete with gym and sauna, after selling their first home – an £8 million pad also in Beverly Hills. The properties were purchased with Nicola's money, gifted to her by Nelson and his wife Claudia.
David and Victoria have been accused of apparently not providing financially for Brooklyn. In recent months, relationships between Brooklyn, his wife Nicola and the Beckhams have become extremely strained, with people close to both sides engaging in a war of words.
But now, it has been claimed by a source that there are frustrations after Brooklyn and Nicola's recent move.Brooklyn, 26, is now residing in a lavish £11million mansion in Hollywood, but it's believed that his billionaire heiress wife Nicola, 30, is the primary owner of the sprawling residential property.
Sources claim that former footballer David and ex Spice Girl Victoria believe that their eldest son is "trapped" by the arrangement,as well as the rumoured pre-nuptial agreement that Brooklyn and Nicola signed before marrying one another. It's estimated that Nicola's dad, Nelson, has a net worth of a whopping $1.6 billion.
Meanwhile, another source has claimed there is a feeling that David and Victoria have been "tight"when it comes to providing for their son, who has turned his hand at attempting several jobs, including being a photographer and also a chef. Speaking to The Sun, a source said: "Money, so the saying goes, is the root of all evil. Certainly, in the case of the Beckhams vs Peltzes, it's proven... tricksy.
"David and Victoria are two working-class kids done good, they have grafted hard for their money and understand that with privilege comes responsibility. On principle, they will not needlessly spoil their kids and have taught them the value of both industry and money."
The source went on to say thatNelson and Nicola's mum, Claudia, views their daughter as the apple of their eye. The source continued: "They expected the Beckhams, worth half a billion themselves, might match them penny for penny. Or, at least, chip in with financials as and when. That hasn't always happened, so they are annoyed and telling people it’s a bit tight, which would utterly enrage David and Vic if they knew."
They went on to claim that David and Victoria "effectively cut their kids off financially" when they turn 18. However, a source close to the showbiz royalty couple has disputed this and branded it "nonsense." Friends of the couple have insisted that David and Victoria have been helping Brooklyn out when he needed it, but they wouldn't spoil him.
It comes after Brooklyn remained silent while his dad's dreams of a knighthood finally came true. Brooklyn's behaviour has reportedly rubbed his mum Victoria up the wrong way and she has been left 'furious' by his actions - or lack thereof.
The Mirror has approached David, Victoria, Nicola and Nelson Peltz's respective spokespeople for comment.
