There's been a major update after an urgent police appeal to track down the parents of a "distressed" young man dressed in Spidermanpyjamas on a street in Northern Ireland.
Police Derry City and Strabane shared the appeal online on Thursday morning urging anyone in the local community who knows the young man's parents to come forward, or to approach officers directly in the John Street area of the city. A statement, released this morning at 7:30am, read: "Police are currently with a distressed young male in the John Street area of the City. He is wearing Spiderman night wear.
"If you know the parents of this young man then please get in touch with Police via 101 quoting CW 183 -210825 or approach Police directly on John Street."

The force later said the man had been reunited with his parents, thanks to help from members of the public. Posting to X, Police Derry City and Strabane wrote in an update: "Thanks to members of the public calling in; the young man has been reunited with his parents. This would not be possible without the support and help of the community."
