Horror images show the extent of a British mum's injuries after she and a friend were mowed down by a taxi in Ibiza.
Mum-of-three Ebony Cordinley, 26, was taken into intensive care after she wasstruck by a vehicleon a road between Ibiza Town and San Antonio in the early hours of Tuesday. Her friend, mum-of-two Lauren Holmes, 27, was also injured and taken to a different intensive care unit.
Ebony's family has since released photos showing the grim extent of the injuries she sustained in the incident. Her sister Shannon said their dad Richard Coombes was flying to Ibiza after they were informed surgery to her knee fracture was delayed due to a "high risk" of infection.

Diana said in an update today: “The doctor has just been to see us. He’s got the full medical report on Ebony’s injuries and he’s just explained it all to me.
“She’s taken the impact on the left side by the look of it. She’s got six broken ribs on the left side and multiple fractures in both legs. She had an open fracture on her left knee where she’s got the staples which requires further surgery but they won’t do the surgery yet because she’s at high risk of infection.
“It’s looking like she’s going to be here for weeks and that’s all we know at the moment. They’re doing an MRI scan now to check on the brain bleed she’s got. It’s what they do every day.”
Shannon added: “We don’t think the driver’s been arrested but my mum’s got a meeting today with police to see what’s going on with that. He definitely tested negative for drink but we are unsure if a drug test took place.
“Both girls are slowly recovering but have a very long healing journey ahead both physically, emotionally and mentally. Ebony as our mum has explained to us needs further surgery on her open knee fracture but can’t have it till her risk of infection drops.
“Lauren has injuries including a spinal fracture and is awaiting surgery but also can’t have it until she is stable enough. My dad is arriving in Ibiza around midday today.”

The pals, from Bradford, West Yorkshire, were struck by what their families described as a "speeding taxi." Police have described the car so far as a Toyota Corolla and have not said whether they arrested the young Spanish driver.
The GoFundMe appeal set up for Ebony has already raised nearly £6,000 of its £6,500. The GoFundMe for Laura, whose family say they have been told the bill for taking her home would be around £32,000, has raised more than £5,500.
The appeal for Ebony says: “On what should have been a happy holiday in Ibiza, our beloved sister Ebony was struck by a speeding taxi in the early hours of Tuesday 26th August, and is now in a critical condition in the intensive care unit. This sudden and devastating accident has turned our world upside down and our family is facing the most frightening time of our lives.
“Right now, doctors are doing everything they can, but the reality is that her recovery will be long, uncertain, and incredibly difficult. We simply do not know yet how serious or lasting her injuries will be. What we do know is that she will need time, care, and strength to heal — and her three young sons need their mum more than ever.”
