Ed Sheeran has candidly opened up on married life as he gave a very rare insight into his relationship with wifeCherry Seaborn. The pair try to leave a very private life despite Ed's huge status and now the Shape Of You singer has admitted they have "real conflict" in their marriage.
Ed, 34, and Cherry, 33, have been married since 2019 and share two kids together. The singer treated fans at a Q&A session at Spotify and admitted it's important to be honest that life isn't always smelling of roses.
Sharing personal details, Ed explained how his relationship has helped shaped his music. "Cherry knows I write about everything - not just the good stuff. Songs like 'Perfect' exist, but so do the ones about real conflict," he told the crowd.

"That's part of any relationship, and I think it's important to be honest about it." And speaking about his songwriting, he confessed that a song Bono wrote about missing his wife's birthday inspired him to write his own personal tune for Cherry.
"It's a personal moment that exists only for her," he lovingly said. And Ed also revealed how he has had to take a step back on his workload in search of a fine balance. "In my early career, it was 100 per cent work, 0 per cent personal life. Now it's 70 per cent family, 30 per cent music. Balance isn't just healthy - it's success.
"When I look back at these years with my family and friends, I want to say: I lived those days and I enjoyed every minute."
Ed also shared how, despite his estimated £370million fortune, he enjoys a budget holiday at Butlin's. The singer confessed that one his best holidays was a trip to the resort in Minehead in January.
He was part of a stag do and such was his love for the time, he is desperate to go back. He dressed in disguise as Roy Wood from Wizzard fo the event and admitted he was "off my nut" and that the resort was "f***ing awesome".
He said: "For my mate Doug's [stag], we went to Butlin's. It was an Eighties-themed weekender and we saw tribute bands Pearl Scam and Metal Militia.
"I dressed up as [Roy Wood from] Wizzard and I had this big beard, long white hair and sunglasses. And I was off my nut. It was great. Butlin’s goes hard. I love it. I never thought I’d go to Butlin’s. Then, when I was there, I was like, ‘I need to come here more often — this is f***ing awesome’."
It was a far cry from his own stag do, which involved a Wolf Of Wall Street theme. His own bash involved being force-fed shots on a small plane. "It was Wolf Of Wall Street-themed.
"All of my mates dressed up and they put me on a plane," he told The 2 Johnnies podcast. "My manager got this small prop plane.
"We flew from Stansted for 20 minutes just to be like, ‘We’re on a plane’. And then it’s grim. You know when you’re being force-fed shots? It was that. But all of my mates’ stag dos have been different."
