Borderlands 4 seems to be attempting to address its numerous PC problems, but it's doing so without providing players with any concrete details about the modifications they're implementing.
Borderlands 4's troubles since its release have been twofold – the actual technical difficulties plaguing the game, and the reaction from its leading figure.
Naturally, players are encountering significant Borderlands 4 PC problems, resulting in enormous frustration, but with Gearbox chief Randy Pitchford delivering sarcastic replies to Borderlands 4 enthusiasts, the situation has been greatly worsened.
The game is an absolute riot if you can overlook the numerous performance problems that have hit its PC edition, and now, the difficulties with Borderlands 4 for PS5 Pro. There's plenty to enjoy, but at present, the game is overshadowed by Twitter disputes and grievances.

Borderlands 4 patch notes for Thursday, September 18A fresh Update Notes post has emerged on the Borderlands 4 website, confirming that an update has been deployed across the game that "improves stability on PC, smooths out progression, and updates the Gilded Glory Pack loot and rewards for a more seamless experience."
The site outlines a number of changes to the game, including:
Weekly Minor UpdatesEvery week, there will be changes to the Weekly Big Encore Boss and Wildcard Mission. Maurice's Black Market Vending Machine will also be relocated!
Weekly Big Encore BossThe Weekly Big Encore Boss is a tougher version of an existing boss with a more rewarding loot pool.
Weekly Wildcard MissionsWeekly Wildcard Missions introduce new challenges to an existing mission. These missions feature a guaranteed Legendary drop that you can earn repeatedly to get your ideal roll.
Maurice's Black Market Vending MachineSearch for the relocated Black Market Vending Machine and discover what's available in your game every week. Remember, while the location is the same, your vending machine items are different from other players, so ask around to see if someone has the item you're looking for!
Change List Stability- Addressed crashes tied to animation states, audio, and collision checks
- Addressed various GPU-related crashes
- Resolved an issue where the Reward Center could stop working after claiming the Gilded Glory Pack rewards
- Addressed a progression blocker in the mission “Talk to Zadra,” where the objective could fail if players exited and relaunched mid-dialogue
- Corrected “Doesn’t own DLC” warnings incorrectly showing up on non-DLC gear. This will be fixed on consoles in the coming days.
- Updated loot pools so Gilded Glory Pack guns no longer appear in standard chests
These issue fixes are somewhat vague, but it seems the game is being patched up – even though the PS5 Pro edition of the game is experiencing some stuttering issues, something that some users have attributed to a memory leak somewhere in the game.
It's reassuring to learn that some solutions are on their way to the game, but particularly following Randy Pitchford's barrage of tweets that appeared crafted to make players believe the issues stemmed from their own PCs, it seems as though a contradiction has remained unaddressed.
Borderlands is in a tough spot right now when it comes to its reputation, so fingers are crossed that this update will iron out its many issues. And here's hoping it does, lest Randy Pitchford appears to accuse players of having incorrect settings for them.
