Samsung unveiled its most advanced foldable smartphone yet - the Galaxy Z Fold 7 - at its Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event in Brooklyn. The new book-style foldable smartphone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite for chipset. It is slimmer and lighter than its predecessors, measuring just 4.2mm when unfolded and weighing 215g. It features a 200-megapixel triple rear camera, Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 protection on the cover display, and a 4,400mAh battery. The device is now available for pre-order in India. Samsung also launched the Galaxy Z Flip 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, and Galaxy Watch 8 series.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 price in India, offers, sale date
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 smartphone starts at Rs. 1,74,999 for the base 12GB + 256GB model in India. The 12GB + 512GB variant is priced at Rs. 1,86,999, while the top-end 16GB + 1TB version will retail at Rs. 2,10,999.
Pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 are now live on Samsung India’s official website, with retail sales starting from July 25. As part of a limited-time pre-booking offer valid till July 12, buyers can get the 512GB variant at the price of the 256GB model, making it a smart upgrade for early adopters.
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 will be offered in Blue Shadow, Jet Black, and Silver Shadow colour options. Additionally, a Mint colour option will be available exclusively online for those looking for a unique finish.

Coming to the specifications, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 runs on Android 16 with Samsung’s custom One UI 8 interface. It features AI tools like Gemini Live, Circle to Search, and Writing Assist to boost productivity and creativity.
The device sports a large 8-inch QXGA+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity Flex inner display with a resolution of 1968 x 2184 pixels, 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, 368ppi, and peak brightness of 2,600 nits. The 6.5-inch cover screen uses the same Dynamic AMOLED 2X technology, with Full HD+ resolution (1080 x 2520 pixels), 120Hz refresh rate, and 21:9 aspect ratio. It is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2, while the rear gets Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
Under the hood, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy chipset, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage. The new Armor FlexHinge and Armor Aluminum frame ensure durability, and the phone carries an IP48 rating for dust and water resistance.
For photography, it features a triple rear camera setup with a 200-megapixel main sensor (OIS, Quad Pixel autofocus), a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 10-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. There are two 10-megapixel selfie cameras—one on the cover display and one under the main screen.
It houses a 4,400mAh battery, supporting 25W wired charging, Fast Wireless Charging 2.0, and Wireless PowerShare. Connectivity includes 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and dual SIM support
