Chhatarpur (Madhya Pradesh): A tragic accident occurred late at night in the Ishanagar area of Chhatarpur district, where a speeding pickup truck fell off a bridge into the Dhasan River near Pacherghat.
One person died, while two others were rescued safely.
According to information, the accident occurred due to heavy rain, strong water flow over the bridge, and poor visibility at night. Locals allege there were no proper safety arrangements at the spot.
The pickup was traveling from Chhatarpur to Vanpur with 3 people on board when it lost control and fell off the bridge. People trapped inside the vehicle were pulled out by breaking the windows.
Sadly, one passenger, identified as Krishna Vishwakarma, lost his life in the incident.
As soon as the police and local administration received information, they reached the spot and started investigation and further action.
Driver Rahul Ahirwar shared his experience, stating how the accident happened suddenly due to water and darkness.

In a separate incident, a young man drowned while bathing in a pond in Chhatarpur. His body was recovered 22 hours later by the Home Guard rescue team.
The incident took place on Saturday at Pratap Sagar (Bada) Pond in the City Kotwali police station area.
It is said, he young man went for a bath and accidentally drowned.
After hours of search, the rescue team found the body and handed it over to the police. The police have prepared a report and sent the body for post-mortem.
Further investigation is ongoing.
