Haryana Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda on Wednesday stated that the state government will provide free coaching for competitive exams such as JEE and the National Defence Academy (NDA) to meritorious government school students. The Education Department is in the process of preparing a pilot project to implement this scheme.
Coaching After School Hours by Government Teachers
As per Dhanda, the coaching lessons will be taught after school hours by trained teachers from government schools. If the pilot is effective, the scheme will be replicated in all parts of the state to reach more students, according to PTI reports.
Emphasis on Quality Education and Parental Involvement
Dhanda reaffirmed the state government's resolve to improve the quality of education in government schools and student facilities. He also placed focus on parental involvement, revealing that frequent parent-teacher interactions like the private schools will soon be introduced in government schools.
