Send Push
And India has created history in wildlife tourism with Madhya Pradesh ’s Kuno National Park introducing the nation’s first-ever cheetah safari , starting October 1, 2025. The new safari will offer visitors a chance to witness the fastest land animal in its home. It’s a landmark safari that is expected to boost tourism in the region.

Let’s have a look at it:

Kuno National Park in Sheopur district was chosen for such a grand project. The park was selected for the cheetah reintroduction project because it’s rich in grasslands, and healthy prey base. In 2022, the park welcomed its first cheetahs in 2022 under an international relocation programme and thanks to such programmes that today there are 16 cheetahs in the reserve.

More about Cheetah Safari

The cheetah safari at Kuno is designed to offer high-quality wildlife experience to people.

Safaris can be enjoyed in early mornings and late afternoons, the most active times for cheetahs.

Strict vehicle routes and limited group sizes ensure minimal disturbance to wildlife.

Every safari is led by trained naturalist guides who explain the cheetah’s behavior, hunting style, and the story of their return to India.

Visitors can expect open terrain views, making photography especially rewarding.

Safari Ticket Price and Entry Fees

The official safari cost is structured as follows:

Gypsy Safari (up to 6 people): ~₹4,500 per vehicle

Private Vehicle Entry: ~₹1,200 per vehicle

Do note that these are base prices, and weekend or peak-season charges may vary. Always check the official Kuno National Park Safari Booking Portal before planning your trip.
