Tata Play Binge, the OTT aggregation platform from Tata Play, has announced a new partnership with BBC Player, further enhancing its content library.
The collaboration brings a broad spectrum of acclaimed British entertainment to Indian audiences, ranging from dramas and comedies to documentaries, family-friendly programming, and more.
With this addition, Tata Play Binge continues to strengthen its position as a leading destination for premium content. The platform allows users to access multiple OTT services through a single subscription and unified user interface, simplifying the viewing experience for subscribers.
Pallavi Puri, Chief Commercial and Content Officer at Tata Play, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership: “This collaboration underscores our commitment to bringing global content closer to Indian viewers. BBC Studios is known for its high-quality programming and compelling storytelling. Adding BBC Player to our platform enriches the overall viewing experience and offers even more choices to our users.”
Stanley Fernandes, Vice President – Distribution, South Asia at BBC Studios, also welcomed the move, noting that the partnership reflects a growing relationship between the two companies.
“We’re delighted to bring BBC Player to more Indian homes through Tata Play Binge,” he said. “Our catalogue features some of the most iconic British shows and documentaries, and this launch allows us to share them with an even wider audience.”
BBC Player’s lineup includes titles such as Luther, Doctor Who, Top Gear, and Pride and Prejudice, along with family favourites like Mr. Bean, The Great British Bake Off, and Citizen Khan.
The platform also caters to younger viewers with engaging kids’ content and offers lifestyle and culinary shows hosted by renowned personalities like Nigella Lawson and Jamie Oliver.
The addition of BBC Player further expands Tata Play Binge’s growing list of OTT partners, which already includes services such as Apple TV+, Disney+ Hotstar, JioCinema,
ZEE5, and more.
Netflix is available via a combo pack with Tata Play DTH subscriptions, while Amazon Prime Video can be added as a premium service for DTH-connected Binge users.
