Some time ago, the Supreme Court issued a major ruling. It stated that a B.Ed. A degree alone does not qualify a person to teach in grades 1 to 5. The Supreme Court had clarified that training like D.El.Ed or BTC is required to teach in primary classes; B.Ed will not be considered suitable for this. This decision reduced job opportunities for B.Ed holders, but now this new initiative is giving B.Ed holders a chance to become primary teachers again.

What is the PDPET Bridge Course?

PDPET is a 6-month bridge course specifically designed for B.Ed degree holders. This course provides them with information on teaching techniques for primary school children, child psychology, value education, assessment methods, and modern teaching methods. This course is completely online and conducted under NIOS. Upon completion, candidates will receive a certificate equivalent to a BTC or D.El.Ed.
