DA and Fitment Factor

Salary expected to increase by 40 to 50 percent
It is expected from the 8th Pay Commission that the basic salary of the employees can be increased by 40 to 50 percent. This increase will be based on the new fitment factor which can be between 2.28 to 2.86. If the maximum factor is applied in this, then the new salary of the person whose current salary is 20 thousand rupees can reach 46,600 to 57,200.
Why is the 8th Pay Commission necessary
Due to inflation, the cost of living is increasing rapidly, due to which it is being demanded from the government that the 8th Pay Commission should be implemented as soon as possible. The 7th Pay Commission has been in force since 2016 and its tenure is till January 2026. In such a situation, it is necessary to form a new committee in time.
